Bosnia: A Eid of Spirituality and Remembrance.

Bayram in Bosnia is more quiet but very meaningful. In the morning, people go to mosque for bayram prayer and it is very crowded. After the prayer, many people visit graves and remember family members who died in the war. So bayram is not only a celebration, it is also a day to remember the past.

Family visits are very important. Young people kiss the hands of older people, and elders give money to children and make them happy. At home, people prepare traditional foods and desserts. They eat together and talk a lot.

Hospitality is very important in Bosnian culture. The atmosphere is not showy, it is more emotional and sincere. People don’t just say “eid mubarak”, they really ask how you are and help people in need. This makes bayram more spiritual and makes people closer to each other.

In Türkiye, bayram is very joyful for people in cities and villages. In the morning, people go to mosque and pray. After that, they visit older family members. Children kiss their hands and get money. At home, people prepare sweets like baklava, sekerpare and cookies. Tables look very nice.

In city centers, streets are full of bayram feeling. Malls, parks and squares are very crowded and colorful. There are decorations and events. Children collect candies, and adults visit neighbors and guests. Bayram makes family and neighbor relations more strong.

Common point: Bayram is happy everywhere. In Indonesia, Bosnia and Türkiye, people celebrate in different ways but the meaning is same. Bayram means sharing, happiness and being together. It helps people feel closer.

Sad regions: In some places, bayram is not happy. In East Turkistan, Gaza and some other regions, people have difficult days. There is war and problems, so bayram is more sad for them. We should remember them and be more united. We hope for real happy bayrams in the future.
