BAD NEWS FROM STEAM
What’s up, gamers!
As game enthusiasts are aware, on November 20, 2023, Steam, the world’s largest game store, changed its exchange rates from Turkish Lira (TL) to US Dollars. Steam’s shift to dollars may impact the gaming experience for players in Turkey, turning what used to be an easily affordable pleasure into a potential financial challenge. The rise in prices due to the strengthening dollar might affect players’ budgets, leading them to explore alternative platforms.
We have observed that some games, which were initially more affordable, have become pricier. Nevertheless, there are exceptions, thanks to discounts. For instance, Euro Truck Simulator 2 is priced at $2.52 (72.74 TL), and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition costs $4.79 (138.27 TL). Despite the challenges posed by the economic situation in our country, game enthusiasts still have an opportunity to make purchases – how? Through the Autumn Sale! Unfortunately, finding very affordable games can be challenging due to our economic circumstances. However, I have compiled a list of games that could be considered suitable for today’s prices.
Ride 4 : $5.99 (172,91 TL)
Dark Souls Remastered : $12.49 (360,54 TL)
Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition : $6.59 (190,23 TL)
Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition : $16.39 (473,12 TL)
Red Dead Redemption 2 : $19.79 (571,26 TL)
Resident Evil 4 : $29.69 (857,04)
It’s important to note that these discounts are valid until November 28, 2023. (These rates are arranged according to 25 November.)
